My Glam Pond

Buona Pasqua a tutte le mie ragazze glam ;) Per questo primo angolo dedicato alla storia della Moda, voglio parlare dell'abito che ha sancito l'inizio della Moda Italiana: l'abito da sposa dell'attrice Linda Christian, che ho amato dal primo momento che l'ho visto! Era il 28 gennaio 1949, quando questa bellissima ragazza americana sposava il suo collega attore Tyron Power, nella Chiesa di Santa Francesca Romana, nel suggestivo paesaggio dei Fori Imperiali. Il suo abito era stato realizzato dalle Sorelle Fontana, tre sorelle nate a Traversetolo, un piccolo paese vicino Parma, Zoe, Micol e Giovanna, che si erano trasferite a Roma dal 1936 per mettere in pratica quello che avevano imparato da mamma Amabile. 

Era un abito in raso ricamato, con un lungo velo trattenuto da una cuffietta decorata con delle perle. 

Costava 700000 £, una cifra consistente considerando che lo stipendio medio mensile dell'epoca era di 27000 £!!! Un abito da sogno che regala la favola anche a chi lo guarda solamente!!! 

L'amicizia tra le sorelle e l'attrice è durata fino alla fine delle loro vite... Come poteva essere diversamente?! Alla prossima lezione di storia ;) Intanto sognate anche voi come me;)
